With its advanced technology, the 3DO offered impressive features for the era, including 3D graphics and notably high-quality audio.

Its futuristic design stood out visually, and the games were known for their colourful and diverse presentation. Titles like “Gex” and “Road Rash” were among the flagship games intended to attract players’ interest. However, overall, the game library was limited and did not meet the expectations of many gamers. One of the major obstacles was the high price of the console, which deterred numerous potential buyers.

Adding to its challenges was the fragmentation among game developers; many different manufacturers produced titles for the 3DO, resulting in significant variability in quality. This made it difficult for players to navigate the game library and select the best titles. Despite its technological advancements, the 3DO struggled to establish itself in the market.
