Nintendo Entertainment System or NES is the second non-portable Nintendo console for the 3rd generation. This console was launched in Japan in 1983 at a price of 14,800 Yen and was the most successful console of its time, it also included the Popeye, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. games.

In just one year, it sold more than 2.5 million units in Japan, a complete success.

The NES control was the first to dispense with the cumbersome joystick of previous joystick controls. It had two controls connected to the rear.
